From the first year of 3 cent nickels struck during the final year of the civil war, this example is quite interesting and unique. Struck from late die states, there is evidence of die clashing on both sides. The reverse has two die cracks from the rim into the wreath at 9 O'clock on the reverse. The overall color is nice, the coin has decent luster, and there are no carbon spots present. Very nice choice uncirculated example great for a type set or a 3 cent nickel collection.
