Same owner for the last 31 years! Only 519 R/T convertibles built total in 1968. Ultra rare factory air conditioned convertible, it also has power steering and brakes. Awesome factory colors. Good, honest, very solid car. Documented with original build sheet and fender tag.
EXTERIOR: I was very impressed with the body. It is really straight from every angle. All the body panels fit real square. I believe this paint job is at least 25 years old and it is proving itself. I didn't find any blisters or problem areas. It is repainted in it's factory dark blue metallic color. The paint job shows really well. The color is uniform all around with a very glossy clear coat finish. It is not a ,000 paint job, but it shows better than most. The white bumble bee stripe pops. Overall the chrome is shiny and straight. Door handles and mirrors look new. The grill is real nice. The tail lights and tail panel are excellent. The windshield was replaced. The 14 inch Magnum 500 wheels are in very good shape. The Goodyear Eagle ST tires although look like new should be replaced because of their age. The white convertible power top is excellent.
INTERIOR: Real nice unabused factory white interior with blue accents. Those are bucket seats with the buddy cushion in the middle. You can fold it down for an armrest or fold it up to fit a third person. The upholstery and door panels are in real nice shape. The dash area is not broken or cut up. The blue carpet is real nice. It has it's full set of blue seat belts.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Vin # matching 440-375 hp Magnum motor. Rare and desirable factory a/c, power steering and brakes. Recent water pump. Upgraded Pertronix ignition and Flame Thrower coil. It has stock manifolds, valve covers, air cleaner etc. It has a Mopar radiator, proper shroud and fan. The washer bottle is hooked up to the squirters. The horns are there, battery is secured, firewall components are proper. There is a new condenser in the trunk for the a/c. The engine bay is all real solid, clean straight metal. It might have the original blue paint. The original fender tag is still attached.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Solid metal painted blue. It is complete with jack, spare and mat. Some miscellaneous extra parts are included.
UNDERSIDE: The front end was completely rebuilt in 2008 and not driven much since. The shocks are more recent. The fuel tank was replaced. The brakes are drum all around and are working fine, the e-brake is hooked up. The dual exhaust is not new but solid. Looking up at the motor, it's clean original with correct casting codes. The trans was exchanged years ago for a rebuilt 727 Torqueflite. It has original rear end with 3.23 gears. The floors are bone dry original. The frame rails are rock solid. Even the lower inner quarters are clean original with the original tabs.
This is a genuine thoroughbred worthy of anyone's collection. It has the winning combination of rarity and desirability. Of the 519 built how many had air? How many still exist? Don't take the amazing factory colors lightly, they are very desirable. Investment grade car that you can enjoy.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.

    About Volo Auto Museum
No other collector car dealer has been in business longer than the Volo Auto Museum.  Owned and operated by the Grams family since 1960.  We are the only collector car dealer that has 4 generations of experience with buying, selling and consigning classic autos.  For our family, classic cars are more than a business, it is a passion.  Over the decades, we have maintained a reputation for dealing with integrity as proven with our high reviews and A+ rating with the BBB.
Buying a classic car can be exciting, but also stressful.  We want to take the stress out of your buying experience by allowing you the time and tools you need to get to know the car you are interested in before making your investment, not after.  Unlike auctions, we allow test drives, 3rd party inspections, the use of our shop and car lift.  No reasonable request will be turned down.
Selling a car can be equally stressful, but it doesn’t have to be.  After reviewing your quality collector car, we will discuss the options we have available to you and let you decide what works best for you.  We have cash available for immediate sales and we also offer a consignment program that surpasses anyone else’s.   Unlike percentage based programs with fees; we work with a no fee, net to owner.  This allows us the opportunity to treat and market your car as if it were our own.  We invest approximately 00 of our own money into marketing your car, which means if it doesn’t sell, we lose, not you.  So, we are more aggressive in selling your car!
