The most prominent feature of Flounder’s personality is his youthfulness. In every important respect his face is not that of a fish but that of a little boy. That youthful exuberance in Flounder is wonderfully captured in this stunning original drawing by the talented Disney Artist and Historian Stacia Martin. Stacia has celebrated working for The Walt Disney Company for over 40 years and has been honored as both a Walt Disney Legacy and Disney “Archives Angels” award recipient in their inaugural classes.
Stacia Martin began her Disney career at Disneyland as a sketch artist and worked in the Park’s Disneyana Shop on Main Street and The Disney Gallery in New Orleans Square. In recent years she has traveled throughout the world on goodwill and promotional tours, shared her knowledge and talent in a variety of Disney publishing and musical projects, and has continued to create art for Disney Parks and guests.
