Mickey's Surprise Party
.
It is a selected limited edition, hand-painted re-creation of original artwork created especially for Walt Disney Company
employees.
The artists of the Walt Disney Studios Ink & Paint Department have re-created the artwork from
Mickey's Surprise
Party
using traditional ink and paint techniques. The original drawings were transferred to polyester cels by a special
six step xerographic process. The cels were enhanced with hand-inked lines then each cel in the edition was hand-painted
with Disney approved acrylic colors.
The background scene for this cel has been faithfully reproduced from the original production background on
Epson Premium Presentation Matte Paper using an Epson Stylus Pro 4900, UltraChrome HDR Printer.
This re-created cel set up is based on the original artwork from Scene 15.1 of
Mickey's Surprise Party
animated by
Walt Kelly. Mickey surprises his sweetheart Minnie with a bouquet of flowers.
This limited edition was produced in 2016 and is comprised of a general edition of 250, numbered 1/250 to 250/250.
