    Description

For your consideration are these very rare, early WWII U.S. Army Air Corps Ferrying Command pin-back collar insignia. These pre-date the Air Transport Command Insignia that are readily available. This is the first set of these we've come across in 30 years, and there's little record of these being sold in the past. In fact, there's only one other (single) for sale on the internet right now. These were used by the Army Ferry Command from late 1941 through early 1942, and it's unknown how many were ever produced - but the number has to be incredibly low - similar to the A.C.F.C. Ferrying Command Wing. These would have been used on the collars of the very few pilots that used the ACFC wings. They are made of copper, and are a bit larger than the common ATC insignia used from early 1942 through post war. They are shown next to an ATC insignia in photos 3 and 4, and are in exceptional original condition as shown.
