    Description

    1930s / World War Two Steward's insignia  "U.S.M.C.".  In a segregated time, stewards were usually African American or Filipinos.  Die struck in brass and gold plated - 1 3/4 inches across by 3/8ths of an inch tall in size. Pin back with a simple hook pin catch.  The reverse side has retained much more gilt - The front has a darker patina.
